I was struck by the gleam of the afternoon light as it caught on the simple everyday objects in our kitchen. A few simple colours amongst the neutrals, the bright points of reflected light on metallics... This is a simple, quiet scene of dishes sitting to dry after lunch, the kitchen empty until it comes time to gather for dinner.
This is an original painting study. Even if you’ve just got a small corner of wall, there are a number of little gems to choose from!
