Reading Corner (Mom's Chair)

This painting shows a comfy chair in the corner of the living room where I love to curl up with a good book. This chair sits next to a crackling wood fire in the winter months and is the perfect spot to sit. This shows it on a late winter’s day with soft overcast light and shadows.

I love studies for the life and energy they capture! They show the thought process of the artist and have an intimacy and immediacy to them that finished studio work sometimes doesn’t. They are also a very affordable way to collect original works of art!
