Flooded Gardens – Between Cities Series

$95.00

"Flooded Gardens"

This screenprint is part of my Between Cities series – a series based on watching the seasons pass by from the road between the cities of Ottawa and Montreal, Canada.

This print is made up of twelve colour layers. It is printed by hand on quality acid-free paper with a lightly textured finish. The inks have a very matte finish that is beautiful when seen in person.

The story behind the print:

There is a grand hotel on the outskirts of Montreal. Last spring, there was massive flooding here in Quebec and I have a surreal image in my mind of passing their formal gardens under water. This image was pieced together from memory and photo references I was able to find after the fact.

Above, you can see some process shots of it as it was being printed / colours were being mixed. As well as a photo of it in my studio before it was trimmed and signed to the version you will receive (see first photo).

This is a hand-pulled screenprint of my own drawing.

Limited edition of 10. (ONLY ONE LEFT!!)

Each print is signed and editioned lightly in pencil across the bottom.

Paper size: 13”x19”

Image size: 9” x 16”

This print will fit in a standard 13x19" frame as-is. It will also fit in a larger 16x20" frame with a photo mat, including frames from IKEA. You may wish to have a custom mat cut for the opening to best display the artwork image.

Each order is carefully packaged in an acid-free plastic sleeve with solid card backing and protective wrapping for shipping. Your artwork is made with high-quality materials and will last a lifetime if framed behind glass and kept out of direct/bright sunlight.

** By the nature of the hand printing process each piece is slightly different. The print you receive may have minor variations to the one shown. This is the beauty of hand-printed items – each is unique. **
